IPTV multi-view: watch several channels at once
Multi-view puts several live channels on screen at the same time, so you can keep an eye on more than one thing. Here's what you need to know.
What multi-view is
Multi-view splits the screen so several channels play side by side. It's handy when more than one thing you care about is on at the same time.
Each channel uses a connection
This is the part that catches people out. Every channel in multi-view is its own stream from your provider, so each one uses one of your plan's connections. Two channels need two connections, four need four.
If your plan allows one connection, multi-view can only show one channel. If someone else in the house is watching on another device, that counts too.
Use multi-view in RIPTV
- Open Live TV.
- Choose Multi-view (several channels at once) next to the channel list.
- Choose Add a channel in an empty space and pick a channel from your list or favourites.
- Add more channels if your plan has the connections for them.
Tips
- Several HD streams at once need a good internet connection. Use Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi if pictures stutter.
- Older or budget TV boxes may struggle with many streams. Fewer channels, or lower-quality versions of them, can help.
- Ask your provider how many connections your plan has before relying on multi-view.
A note on what RIPTV is
RIPTV is a player. It doesn't come with channels, films or series: you add the IPTV service you already subscribe to. Only use services you have the right to watch.
Questions
Why does multi-view say I've run out of connections?
