How to cast IPTV from your phone to your TV
Watching on your phone but want it on the big screen? There are a few ways to do it, depending on your TV.
Option 1: Chromecast
If your TV has Chromecast built in, or a Chromecast or Google TV device plugged in, you can cast from RIPTV on your phone. The TV plays the stream itself, so your phone becomes the remote and you can use it for other things.
- Make sure your phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Start playing a channel, film or episode in RIPTV on your phone.
- Tap the Cast button and choose your TV.
Option 2: picture-in-picture
Picture-in-picture isn't casting, but it's handy: a channel keeps playing in a small window on your phone while you reply to messages or check something else. Press Home while watching and the video shrinks into a corner.
Option 3: install RIPTV on the TV
For everyday watching, the best picture and the easiest control usually come from running RIPTV on the TV itself: a Fire TV, Google TV or Android TV device. Get it from the Amazon Appstore on a Fire TV, or Google Play on Google TV and Android TV.
With Premium, Set up a TV makes this quick: open Profile > Set up a TV on your phone and enter the code shown on the TV. Your login is copied across, end-to-end encrypted, so there's nothing to type with the remote.
If casting doesn't work
- Check both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, not a guest network.
- Restart the Chromecast or TV and try again.
- Some streams from some providers don't cast well. If one channel won't cast but others do, the stream format is the likely cause; installing RIPTV on the TV avoids this.
- Casting uses one of your provider's connections, just like watching.
A note on what RIPTV is
RIPTV is a player. It doesn't come with channels, films or series: you add the IPTV service you already subscribe to. Only use services you have the right to watch.
Questions

Can I cast to a Fire TV?
Fire TV devices don't support Chromecast. Install RIPTV on the Fire TV instead: it's in the Amazon Appstore.
