Perfect Player alternative: a modern IPTV player
Perfect Player has been around for years and many people still use it. If you're after something that also feels like a streaming app, here's what RIPTV offers.
Where Perfect Player shines
Perfect Player is known for being simple and lightweight, with a straightforward channel list and guide. If you mainly watch live channels and like things minimal, it does the job.
What RIPTV does differently
- Films and series get their own sections with posters, descriptions, trailers and seasons.
- Continue Watching and My List, so you can pick up where you left off.
- Live TV with a full TV guide, favourites and recent channels.
- Works with Xtream Codes logins as well as M3U playlists.
- With Premium: pause and rewind live TV, recording, reminders, catch-up where your provider records channels, and an extra XMLTV guide.
- Phone and tablet apps too, with sync between devices (Premium).
Switching is easy
- Find your login: in your current player's settings, or in your provider's welcome email. It's either a server, username and password (Xtream Codes) or a playlist link (M3U).
- Install RIPTV on your phone, tablet or TV: from Google Play, or the Amazon Appstore on a Fire TV.
- Enter the same details. You don't need a new subscription or a new login from your provider.
- Keep your old player installed while you try RIPTV. Both can use the same login, though watching on both at once uses two of your provider's connections.
Try it free
RIPTV is free, with no sign-up or card, and every new install gets 7 days of Premium free. Premium is £4.99 a year or £12.99 once, on up to 5 devices.
Product names belong to their owners. RIPTV isn't affiliated with Perfect Player. Features of other apps change, so check their current version.
A note on what RIPTV is
RIPTV is a player. It doesn't come with channels, films or series: you add the IPTV service you already subscribe to. Only use services you have the right to watch.
Questions
I only have an M3U playlist. Will RIPTV work?
Yes. Paste the playlist link, plus an EPG (XMLTV) link if your provider gave you one.
Will my favourites carry over?
Favourites are stored in each app, so you'll need to add them again in RIPTV. Long-press a channel to add it.
